Luis Fabiano move collapses?

In breaking news, the move for Luis Fabiano has broken down. Milan were expected to conclude the deal this week however an agreement with Sevilla could not be reached.

AC Milan director confirmed on sky that “the negotiations for Luis Fabiano have reached a dead end.”

This means more bad news for Milan and its fans. Galliani is making a good mess of transfer dealings this European summer and I would not be surprised if there is further revolt by Milan fans.

Milan fans have had not much to cheer about recently with the losses of a number of key figures that do not need to be named.

The signing of Luis Fabiano was really going to settle our nerves going into the upcoming season. With Luis Fabiano linking up with Ronaldinho and Pato, Milan arguably would have had one of the better attacking trios in Europe. All that was needed to really make things right was the acquisition of a full back.

But, like all things recently, nothing is going right for Milan and the men who should be held accountable are Silvio Berlusconi and Andrea Galliani.

The offer made by Galliani was in the region of 12 million pounds. Sevilla wanted nothing less than 26 million pounds which is the release cause on the player, and rightly so. Luis Fabiano is the hottest striker in Europe right now with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea also expressing their interest in signing the player.

Galliani and co should no better. Their offer to Sevilla seems absurd given what the player could earn the Spanish club.

Once again I am rather furious with Galliani. He has shown nothing but incompetence and Silvio has shown nothing but stinginess.

I am rather concerned about the future of this club with Berlusconi and Galliani at the helm.

To focus on the issue at hand, if this deal for Luis Fabiano does break down then where does that leave us?

Well Huntelaar is perhaps the only other player Milan can realistically attempt to buy.

In my opinion and given our monetary constraints, with Leonardo set to play three up front, one option could be Ronaldinho on the left, Pato or Borriello in the middle and Arjen Robben on the right.

Yes he is injury prone somewhat, but he may be worth it. With MilanLab, he may be able to stave off injury a little more. One thing is for sure, he is world class when fit and with him cutting in from the right and Ronaldinho cutting in from the left, whether it be Pato or Borriello up in the middle, this would make for a lethal attack.

In addition, he is a realistic option for Milan financially. There is not just not many options for Milan and with one deal breaking down after the next, alternatives need to be considered.
