I didn’t see it but apparently De Vito did really well at left back in the Coppa Italia and Antonini & Abate are also coming on leaps and bounds in the full back positions. It seems Leonardo is much more willing put faith in the younger players than Ancelotti ever was which bodes well for the future.

I have to say that I strongly disagree with your views on Borriello. 4 in 9 is not a bad tally for someone who has only just got back to playing regular football this season. If he keeps up an almost 1 in 2 scoring record then he will be among the leagues top scorers at the end of the season. You also seem to overlook his work rate and how good he is at holding up the ball.

For the one target man position we have I see the position as fully stocked. Borriello, Hunterlaar and Inzaghi all have different qualities but are all reliable goal scorers. I’m excited to see what Addiyah can do as a wide forward. If he can integrate into the 1st team he could give us an extra bit of quality in the squad and help push for unexpected silverware this season!
