Max Allegri has indicated that Gennaro Gattuso could be unavailable for some time still.
The feisty Italian midfielder had been suffering from blurred vision to his left eye and has been sat on the sidelines to recover.
However, Allegri has told that due to the particular nature of his injury it is unknown exactly when he will return to action.
The world cup winner has only made one Serie A appearance for the champions. That was in round one last month when Milan played a 2-2 draw against Lazio at the San Siro.
“Gattuso is stable. He’s not fit to play yet the moment, but physically, he’s been training every day,” Allegri told a press conference.
“His is an injury that can get better in the space of a few days or a few months. We have no timeline because it’s impossible to have one. Rino lives in the changing room though. He’s always there, always present and always makes himself heard,” he continued.
