AC Milan v Catania: The squad

Max Allegri has named his squad to face Catania. In the absence of Pato and Antonio Cassano he has called up Pippo Inzaghi and Stephen El Shaarawy.

I am expecting Allegri to opt for Urby Emmanelson and Clarence Seedorf in midfield to fill in for Prince Boateng and Antonio Nocerino.

But, how I would love to him throw caution to the wind and give El Shaarawy a starting berth. He could play behind the strikers and Seedorf could take up the left side midfield role – where he is much more effective anyway.

Mario Yepes could get the nod ahead of Daniele Bonera and I would kind of prefer it. Yepes can be dangerous at the back like Bonera, but, at least he can be dangerous at the other end too (Lecce goal).

GOALKEEPERS: Abbiati, Amelia

DEFENDERS: Abate, Antonini, Bonera, Taiwo, Thiago Silva, Zambrotta, Yepes

MIDFIELDERS: Ambrosini, Aquilani, Emmanuelson, Seedorf, van Bommel

STRIKERS: El Shaarawy, Inzaghi, Robinho, Ibrahimovic
